Salt River Valley Groundwater Model Update
The Groundwater Modeling Unit of ADWR's Hydrology section is presenting an update of the Salt River Valley Groundwater Model from 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, in the Verde Conference Room at ADWR headquarters. This presentation will be suitable for the general public, as well as consultants and other water professionals.
The unit will present an overview of the SRV model (1983-2006), as well as a review of the modeling process as it associates with Assured Water Supply and Recharge applications.

Arizona Water Atlas
The Arizona Water Atlas is a compilation of currently available water-related information for the State of Arizona.
To date,
Volumes 1 - 8 are posted on this website. Atlas Volumes are posted in draft form in order to allow for review and comment by the public prior to finalization. Comments on all volumes must be received by October 31, 2008. Final versions of each volume will be posted in early 2009, along with Volume 9 – Water Sustainability Evaluation.

Third Management Plans - Second Modification
On May 20, 2008, orders became effective adopting modifications to the municipal conservation programs of the Third Management Plans for the five Active Management Areas.

Adequacy Rules Stakeholder Process
"This notice informs the public that the Department of Water Resources (ADWR) is currently reviewing the public comments submitted for the Adequacy Rules Stakeholder Process
and, as part of this informal process, has made the written public comments available for review" click here.
ADWR has completed its current statewide series of stakeholder meetings as part of an informal public process to form consensus around changes to the water adequacy rules.
The rules will be modified to reflect changes in the adequacy program brought about by enaction of SB 1575 in 2007.

BACKGROUND: In 2007 the Legislature passed a measure that provides clear authority for cities and towns or counties to adopt an ordinance requiring new subdivisions to obtain from the Arizona Department of Water Resources (Department) a determination of the existence of an adequate 100-year water supply in order to obtain final plat approval from the local platting authority. As a result of this provision, the Department is in the process of amending its existing Adequate Water Supply Rules.

Transportation of Groundwater
This notice informs the public that the Department of Water Resources (ADWR) is currently reviewing the public comments submitted for the new proposed rules for interbasin groundwater transportation in certain areas of the state.
